Where do we come from

A start was made as a small entrepreneur in mushrooms by Verdellen Senior in the early sixties, the pioneering time of cultivated mushrooms.

In 2007 Prime Champ started, led by the son Geert Verdellen (CEO) and expanded to a fully integrated production and supply chain in mushrooms, producing over 2.500.000 kg per year. Prime Champ performs in the top ten of Europe in fresh mushrooms. Prime Champ is one of the few fully integrated supply chains in Europe in which growing mushrooms starts with the production of compost, and ends with transporting the packed product, all under one director.
